Shipping Policy

Discount Hardware Direct LLC ships to 48 States of the United States and to Canada. We use trackable shipping methods. All shipping services occur only during business days (that is Monday through Friday; not weekends or holidays). We cannot ship to PO boxes. We cannot guarantee precise delivery dates nor the delivery times as described below. Various factors such as holidays and deliveries to remote locations may affect delivery times.

How we ship

Discount Hardware Direct LLC uses a third-party logistics companies in our shipping process. We use these third parties to give our customers superior prices. The carriers are chosen for their reliable and punctual reputation for their service. We have selected the logistics companies with positive experience in our past cooperation. This is to ensure our products are shipped by the best carriers and provided in the finest condition and in due time to customers.

Common facts

Once the order is processed, then it is shipped out via LTL (for large items) or Small Parcel Ground (for smaller items). LTL shipments are curbside delivery only, unless otherwise requested at the Purchaser’s expenses. Shipping time varies upon the final destination point, however the average are 2-4 business days for the East Coast and 5-7 business days for the West Coast. Dealers are also welcome to use their own freight companies if needed. Please contact Discount Hardware Direct LLC directly for all orders outside of the continental United States. If the Purchaser has provided an incorrect address for the delivery, he should contact us within 24 hours after the order placing. If the product is shipped out to a wrong address, the Purchaser undertakes the responsibility for any additional shipping and handling charges.

DELIVERY

Discount Hardware Direct LLC offers the direct deliveries to our permanent customers and dealers. Dealers agree to have an agent and facilities to accept all deliveries of merchandise: orders placed by vendors with further shipment to customer’s office, warehouse, job sites, or any other designated locations. Dealers bear full responsibility for freight demurrage, hold-over, and similar charges arising out or relating to customers’ failure to fulfill their obligations under the terms of the agreement and regardless the origin of the shipment or the consignor. Our Hardware, Furniture and doors are shipped via freight ground as well as LTL services. Prior to making a delivery, agent from a freight company may contact the Purchaser to schedule a drop off day and convenient time. The Purchaser should provide anybody from his side to be available at the delivery point to accept the products. In case of delivery failure all expenses for re-delivery charges is the Purchaser responsibility. All shipments are delivered to the back side of the truck. During the unloading of products from the truck, Discount Hardware Direct LLC assumes no responsibilities or liability for damage of the product, personal injury to someone(s), or any other issue that may arise due to moving the products from the truck to the inside space. Please note, that any carrier may have a variety of trucks to perform the delivery by any of them, and Discount Hardware Direct LLC could not be responsible for inability of the chosen vehicle to get straight to the place, indicated in the bill of lading, because of road conditions, weather influence or other circumstances not depending on Discount Hardware Direct LLC. Failure to perform the delivery by this reason could result picking-up the merchandise from the nearest distribution warehouse of the carrier with the charges and expenses by the Purchaser's responsibility.

RECEIVING THE SHIPMENT

Once a shipment/delivery is received, the customer has to inspect the contents of each package before signing the bill of lading. All visible damage should be noted on the bill of lading, however, it is also very important to open all received boxes and inspect the products for any concealed damage at the time of delivery. If the driver does not allow the customer to inspect the freight, please note that on the bill of lading. All damage should be reported to Discount Hardware Direct LLC within 3 (three) days of the shipment/delivery date. Failure to comply with these rules will disqualify the Purchaser from the merchandise replacement. Discount Hardware Direct LLC is responsible for making payments to the shipping and delivery companies directly. The Purchaser does NOT have to pay anything to the truckers at the time of delivery or at any other time. Any payments made by the Purchaser to the carrier company or its representatives directly for any additional or existing services are at his full responsibility and his expenses. The Purchaser agrees that Discount Hardware Direct LLC does not refund these payments under any circumstances.

Delivery Information

We will provide the Purchaser all necessary information to be prepared for the delivery, including: full carrier information, contact numbers, tracking numbers and turnaround times.

Shipment Schedules

A company representative may contact the Purchaser prior to shipment to schedule a convenient date and time for delivery.

Shipment Tracker

Once the shipment leaves our warehouse, a tracking number will be provided to the
Purchaser with the instructions how to track the shipment.

Delivery Days

We process and ship the orders from Monday till Friday. We ship to 48 States in the
Continental US and Canada.

Shipped via Ground

The orders are shipped ground or LTL via truck freight companies.

Safe & Secure

All our Hardware, furniture and doors are shipped safely in a solid and secure crating system, specifically designed to protect the items, and to ensure the items shipping together will arrive the destination point in perfect condition.

International Shipping:

All duties, taxes and fees will be the customer's responsibility.

If there is a warranty issue with a product shipped internationally, the customer will be responsible for all shipping costs to return the defective item(s) and for the shipment of a replacement item(s).

Shipping Insurance

All products sold by Discount Hardware Direct LLC are guaranteed by the manufacturer and insured by the shipping company to arrive in perfect condition.

PLEASE NOTE: The Purchaser agrees to pay the full purchase price and additional delivery charges, if the delivery address is inaccessible or incorrect. Please make sure to receive the order on the agreed delivery address. Discount Hardware Direct LLC is not responsible for any damage occurred if the order is picked up from the freight company’s service center or any other location other than the agreed address. Carefully inspect the order upon the delivery. Discount Hardware Direct LLC holds no responsibility for the damages which are not pointed out on the carrier company’s paperwork. The Purchaser should open the boxes and investigate the contents since the driver is neither uncrating nor opening the order. In case of any discrepancies the Purchaser should take pictures and provide them to Discount Hardware Direct LLC directly. As soon as the hardware, furniture and door units have been installed, no shortage or damage can be claimed.
